The mission of the St. Bernard Youth Ministry is to create an environment for current and former high school students to come and delve deeper into their Catholic faith, while growing together with fellow students in a comfortable and enriching setting.
Our main goal is to engage youth in a manner that creates an interest in the Church's teachings and helps them to understand the "why" behind the "what" of the Mass. Once graduated, they can carry their faith with them and stay active in the Catholic Church beyond their high school years.
Beginning after Labor Day, we meet weekly on Tuesdays during the school year from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm in the Lighthouse. The Lighthouse is located on the 3rd floor of the school buidling. The school building is the building on the left as you enter the parking lot and entrance is thru the main doors that are directly across from the Church.
In the summer, we meet approximately 2-3 times in an informal setting such as miniature golf or run game/movie nights.
* In lieu of an access code, please ring the door bell at that main building entrance.
Our Tuesdays' topics and activities vary. They can include:
Each year, thre is a weekend long retreat that is based on a theme chosen for the year. The 2020 retreat theme is Covenant. Topics and discussions tie back to our calling and relationship to be in union with God. God is constantly calling us and we have to choose how we want to answer. This year's retreat is being held offsite from 1/31 - 2/2/2020.
